I've been thinking a lot about what I was gonna say for this release, but found there wasn't much to say outside of what is said in the song. This song is literally an antique at this point too, I wrote it many years ago for my best friend in the whole wide world Nicole, who is a lesbian, and her experiences matching my experiences, as a nonbinary person, about being gay in the age of the capitalist's pendulum swinging towards our community. Because capitalism is a pendulum, and it will swing away from us someday and I hope we'll be better than that by then.
lyrics
Sight unseen, future for me
Plastic christs holo sheen
I got my own flag and i wanna be seen
Rainbow cans of caffeine
Sweatin in my leather, 50 dollar sweater
At target
Patches picked by trendsetter , They know im gonna want it cause i never seen better
I bought it, next month it'll be a bargain
Got the trans flag on a shirt
And got a big cake with glitter for dessert
Just below the frosting you can see the dirt
Where they buried leelah alcorn
*I heard this verse while swimming inside of a headache
While watching a major bank suck the blood from my soul mate's brain
And if the lord takes me upstairs before i wake
My boss would call to say that i'm late*
I feel tired and old
I know im not supposed to, but fuck what i been told
All My friends are dyin, but some are getting ambitious
Car crash last winter but she aint none of my business
My bank account balance is always low
20 bucks for gas and 20 more for glow
All so i can get home to my favorite tv shows
To watch shit that i dont even like but gotta know
Space gems are more expensive then diamonds,
Ms sugar sleeping pretty on long island
Right as the pills hit, i hear the sirens bustin
With the sound of the last straight girl i ever trusted
And i havent learned anything yet
Nicole and i hoping to meet our maker on the way to the coffee machine
Always first row at the tickle torture show, except the last one, this was
Back when i first hit you up, And You said you're just a friend
And it's happening again? It's happening again
Im a queerfish
And i wont get hooked
Im a queerfish
And i wont get hooked
Im a queerbird
And i wont get cooked
Im a queerfish
And i wont get hooked
